Our school
St. John’s School is managed by The St. John’s School Society, a society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Nestled amidst the serene hills of Mussoorie, the school has built a strong legacy of education, values and holistic development.
Our teaching is child-centric, interactive and technology-integrated. Educators focus on each child’s intellectual and emotional growth, and a low teacher-student ratio ensures personal attention, so that every student’s unique strengths can develop.

Meet our Principal
Mrs. Bimla Beni Prasad holds a B.Ed. and an M.A. from Gossner College, Ranchi. She completed her schooling at Mussoorie Girls Inter College and her B.A. at Bearing College, Batala. She began her career as an English teacher at St. Martin’s School in Delhi, where she taught for six years.
She then moved to Mussoorie and joined St. John’s School as a teacher in 1993, and rose to Vice Principal. In 2005, after the then Principal, Rev. I. B. Dass, stepped down, she took on the responsibility of leading the school as Principal. Her long association reflects her deep commitment to the school’s students, values and continued growth.
Our story
St. John’s School was founded in 1993 by the late Rev. I. B. Dass and his wife, the late Mrs. Beena Dass. It was born from the aspiration to provide excellent education to children from diverse and underprivileged backgrounds, near the historic colonial ridge of Landour, Mussoorie.
In more than 30 years, over 3,000 students have studied here and gone on to succeed in their chosen careers, a testament to the school’s commitment to “Education for All.”
The school follows the full ICSE curriculum and is registered and recognised by the Uttarakhand state education board (Registration No. UK0600392024013724).
